Our Ungasan villas run from four to six bedrooms sleeping 8 to 12 guests, positioned across the Bukit peninsula's clifftop plateau with ocean-facing pools and full staff. Melasti and Green Bowl beaches are within a short drive, and Uluwatu Temple and its surf breaks are roughly 15 minutes away. The airport is 45 to 60 minutes, longer at peak traffic. Dining is predominantly villa-based here — private chef service is available at most properties and is usually the better option given the area's distance from restaurant clusters.

Ungasan sits on the southern tip of the Bukit peninsula, on the limestone plateau that forms Bali’s most dramatic coastline. This is the part of the island where the land ends in cliffs rather than sloping into sand, and villas here are built to face that — infinity pools set against the drop, with open Indian Ocean views that run uninterrupted to the horizon.

The trade-off is honest and worth stating plainly: Ungasan is not a walk-to-the-beach area. The white-sand coves below — Melasti, Green Bowl, Nyang Nyang — are genuinely among the best beaches in Bali, with far clearer water than the volcanic-sand beaches of the west coast, but reaching them means steps down the cliff face or a short drive. Groups who want to step from the garden onto sand are better placed in Seminyak or Canggu; groups who want the view, the quiet, and the water quality choose Ungasan.

The area is residential and low-density, roughly 45 to 60 minutes from Ngurah Rai airport and about 15 minutes from Uluwatu’s temple and surf breaks.
