Luxury Chalets in Chamonix

Chamonix is a historic mountaineering town at the foot of Mont Blanc, known for serious off-piste and high-altitude terrain, the Vallée Blanche glacier run, and a lively year-round village rather than a purpose-built resort feel. Our chalet is set in Les Tines, a quieter residential area near the Flégère lift, giving groups direct access to the Grands Montets and Flégère ski areas while staying a short drive from Chamonix’s town center.

Les Tines sits on the valley floor near the Flégère lift, offering a quieter, more residential setting than staying in central Chamonix, with the town’s restaurants and shops a short drive away.

December through March is ski season, with the area’s high-altitude terrain generally holding snow well into spring. June through September brings Chamonix’s hiking and mountaineering season, with the Mont Blanc massif drawing climbers and hikers from around the world.

Geneva Airport (GVA) is the primary gateway, approximately 1 hour by road. Chamonix has its own small airport, but it serves private aviation only — not commercial flights — so Geneva is the practical option for most guests.

The Aiguille du Midi cable car and the Vallée Blanche off-piste run are Chamonix’s signature mountain experiences, alongside the Grands Montets and Flégère ski areas near Les Tines. In summer, the Tour du Mont Blanc hiking route and via ferrata routes draw a dedicated mountaineering crowd, and the town itself has an active climbing and outdoor-gear culture year-round.

The Euro is the currency; French is the primary language, with English common in hospitality given Chamonix’s international mountaineering reputation. The town runs on Central European Time. Chamonix’s terrain is more serious and higher-altitude than many Alps destinations — off-piste and high routes should only be attempted with a qualified guide, and conditions should always be confirmed before ski-in/ski-out or hiking plans are finalized.
