Villa Jamadara
5 Beds · 10 Guests
Area · Bali
Uluwatu is Bali's surf and cliff address — world-class reef breaks, the island's most dramatic coastline, and the temple headland that holds its best sunset. It suits experienced surfers and groups who want the view and the water quality, and who accept that beach access means steps and that dining requires a driver.

Area Context
Our Uluwatu villas are five-bedroom properties sleeping 10 guests, with private pools and staff, positioned on the Bukit peninsula's clifftop coastline. The area is defined by its reef surf breaks — Uluwatu, Padang Padang, Impossibles and Bingin — and by Uluwatu Temple on the headland, known for sunset and the evening Kecak dance. Beaches sit at the base of the cliffs and are reached by steps or a short drive, but the water is markedly clearer than Bali's west coast. Ngurah Rai airport is 45 to 60 minutes away.
Uluwatu occupies the south-western edge of the Bukit peninsula, where limestone cliffs drop directly into the Indian Ocean and the reef breaks below are among the best-known in the world. Uluwatu, Padang Padang, Impossibles and Bingin all sit within a few kilometres of one another, and they are the reason a significant share of visitors come to this part of the island at all.
These are reef breaks, not beach breaks — powerful, shallow, and unsuitable for beginners. Groups with mixed surfing ability are usually better based in Canggu and driving down. What Uluwatu offers instead is the island’s most striking coastline, clear water in the coves below the cliffs, and Uluwatu Temple on the headland, which holds the best sunset on Bali and the Kecak fire dance most evenings.
Our three Uluwatu villas are five-bedroom properties sleeping 10, with private pools and staff. Beach access is by steps or a short drive; the airport is 45 to 60 minutes away.

Frequently Asked
No. Uluwatu, Padang Padang, Impossibles and Bingin are reef breaks — powerful and shallow, and genuinely dangerous for inexperienced surfers. Groups with beginners should base in Canggu, where the beach breaks are far more forgiving, and drive down to watch.
Not directly. The beaches sit at the base of the cliffs and are reached by steps or a short drive. The water is considerably clearer than the west coast beaches, but this is clifftop country rather than beachfront.
Uluwatu Temple on the headland is the island's best-known sunset spot, with the Kecak fire dance performed most evenings. The clifftop beach clubs along this coast are among Bali's most established, and the coves — Padang Padang, Bingin, Melasti — are the island's clearest water for swimming and snorkelling.
