Villa Alma is a beachfront villa in Bahía Petempich, a quiet residential bay inside Puerto Morelos, roughly fifteen minutes from Cancún International Airport. The property runs the full depth from the road to the sand, with large gardens and common areas between, which is what gives it the sense of separation the listing describes — the whole villa goes to one group at a time.

Seven bedrooms take up to 26 guests. Each has a closet and its own full bathroom, and the outdoor space is where the villa does its real work: an infinity pool facing the Caribbean, a pool lounge with a bar and pool table, a rooftop with a jacuzzi, hammocks and loungers set through the gardens, and a cooking terrace with a BBQ, a pizza oven and a teppanyaki grill alongside an outdoor dining room.

Inside there is a fully equipped kitchen, large living rooms and quieter rest areas. The villa is pet friendly, has a fireplace and a fire pit, and is set up for events — weddings, retreats and celebrations — as well as family stays.

The interior runs to large living rooms and separate rest areas rather than one open space, which matters at this capacity. The kitchen is fully equipped — dishwasher, oven, stove, grill, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, blender and toaster — with a dining table and full dishes and utensils.

Entertainment covers a pool table, games, television and a stereo system. There is a fireplace indoors, air conditioning throughout, Wi-Fi, and a washer and dryer. For families travelling with small children the villa provides a travel crib, a high chair, and dishes and utensils for kids.

02 — Outdoor & Pool

A large infinity pool faces the Caribbean, with a pool lounge alongside holding a bar and a pool table. The cooking terrace is unusually well equipped for a villa — a BBQ and grill, a pizza oven and a teppanyaki grill, with an outdoor dining room beside them.

The gardens run wide and green, with hammocks slung to face the sea and lounge chairs set through them, and a fire pit for the evening. A rooftop terrace holds a jacuzzi. Beyond the garden the villa has direct access to white sand and the turquoise water inside the reef.

Villa Alma has seven bedrooms and a stated maximum of 26 guests. Worth reading the split before booking a large party: 20 guests sleep in proper beds — kings and doubles — and the remaining capacity comes from double sofa beds placed in five of the seven rooms.

Bedroom 1 has a king. Bedrooms 2, 3, 4 and 5 each have a king plus a double sofa bed. Bedroom 6 has two double beds plus a double sofa bed. Bedroom 7 is the largest, with a king and two double beds.

Each bedroom has a closet and its own full bathroom. There are eight full bathrooms, all shower-only, plus a ninth half bathroom with a toilet only — so a group at full capacity has good bathroom coverage, but no bathtub anywhere in the villa.

It is still a working fishing village: low-rise, built around a small square with a leaning lighthouse, and noticeably quieter than Playa del Carmen or Tulum. The reef sits a few hundred metres offshore, close enough that the swimming is calm and the snorkelling starts from the beach.
