Rancho de Costa is a beachfront estate on Bahia de los Suenos, one of the least developed stretches of coast in Baja California Sur. It runs to more than 17,800 square feet of interior space and over 12,000 square feet outside, split across two villas, Villa Langosta and Villa Marlin, with ten suites sleeping twenty-eight. The reason people come this far is the beach: this is a swimmable white-sand bay on the Sea of Cortez, not a Pacific-facing one, so the water is calm enough to actually use. A 50-by-30-foot pool with a swim-up bar, two large jacuzzis, beachfront palapas and covered outdoor dining for around eighteen sit between the two houses. There is a professional-grade gym on site. It is a genuinely remote setting, which is the appeal and the trade-off in equal measure.

Both villas have spacious ocean-view living and dining areas and their own fully equipped gourmet kitchens, with bar areas alongside. 03 — Bedrooms

Sleeping for 28

Ten suites sleeping twenty-eight, every one with a private bathroom. Eight are king suites with ocean views and their own balcony or terrace, seven of those with private entrances. A ninth pairs a queen bed with a sofa bed and its own entrance and bathroom. The tenth is a four-twin room with a private entrance and bathroom, which handles a group of children in one place. Living rooms, kitchens, dining areas and the gym are shared across Villa Langosta and Villa Marlin.
