About this Chalet

Chalet Altius

00 — Overview

Fir trees surround Altius, with open views across the valley to Mont Vallon. The Doron blue run — down to La Chaudanne — is about 150 m away, so most days start with a three-minute walk.

Over 400 m² and four floors, the chalet gives a whole level to wellness: an indoor hot tub, hammam, sauna, massage room and gym equipment. A lift links the floors, and the service level is flexible, from fully serviced to accommodation-only.

01 — Indoor Living

The main living space

The first-floor living room has a vaulted ceiling and fireplace, with a TV room beside it and a bar with wine fridge off the main space. A separate dining room with velvet chairs and statement lighting adjoins a fully equipped kitchen. The wellness level holds an indoor hot tub, hammam, sauna, massage room and gym equipment. Lift, laundry and ski room.

02 — Mountain & Wellness

Built around the mountain

Every bedroom has a shared or private balcony or terrace, with fir-framed views over the valley to Mont Vallon. Garage for two cars plus one outdoor space.

03 — Bedrooms

Sleeping for 12

Six bedrooms for 10 adults and two children. The top floor is the master suite, with TV, dressing room, study area, private balcony and a bathroom with freestanding bath and separate shower. The ground floor has a twin/double with terrace access and en-suite bathroom, a double with balcony and shower room, a double with balcony and en-suite bathroom, and a double and a two-bunk room sharing a Jack and Jill bathroom.

Destination Profile

Méribel

Méribel sits at the heart of the Three Valleys (Les Trois Vallées), the world's largest linked ski area, connecting directly to Courchevel and Val Thorens across more than 600 kilometers of pistes. Founded in 1938 by a British skier who set out to build a resort within strict architectural rules — every building in traditional Savoyard wood-and-stone chalet style, with no visible concrete — Méribel has kept a more uniform, low-rise character than many purpose-built French resorts, and it remains especially popular with British and international guests for that reason. Our chalet is located in the Morel area, within the wider Méribel valley. The destination suits skiers who want maximum terrain variety without switching resorts, plus a village atmosphere with strong après-ski, dining, and a central position that makes day trips into Courchevel or Val Thorens straightforward on skis. Beyond the slopes, Méribel has an Olympic-legacy ice rink (used for the 1992 Albertville Games), and the surrounding Vanoise massif opens up to hiking and mountain biking in summer. The chalet includes a private chef on request, daily housekeeping, and concierge support for ski logistics, lift passes, and provisioning before arrival. Geneva Airport is the most common gateway, at approximately 2 hours by road, or Chambéry Airport, closer at around 1 hour but with more limited seasonal flight service. Share your dates and group size, and we'll confirm availability and details for our Méribel chalet — every rate, service charge and booking condition itemized in the written quotation.

How many guests does Chalet Altius sleep?

Chalet Altius sleeps up to 12 guests across 6 bedrooms, with 5 bathrooms. What a group can comfortably use depends on the room-by-room configuration rather than the bedroom count alone, so we confirm the layout against your party before you book.

Where is Chalet Altius located?

Chalet Altius is in Méribel. We can confirm drive times from the airport and what is within reach on foot before you commit to the location.

Is Chalet Altius catered?

Chalet Altius is fully catered, so kitchen staff and meals are part of the stay rather than an add-on. Menus and dietary requirements are agreed with you before arrival.

Who is Chalet Altius best suited to?

Chalet Altius works particularly well for families with children. Tell us how your group is made up and we will say plainly whether this chalet fits, or point you to one that does.

How much does Chalet Altius cost, and how do we book?

Rates are quoted per stay rather than published as a single number, because they move with the season, the length of stay and the size of the group, and taxes and fees vary by destination. Send your dates and we confirm availability and the rate with the owner before anything is charged.

How far is the Doron piste?

About 150 m, roughly a three-minute walk. It runs down to La Chaudanne.

Is there a lift?

Yes, a lift serves the chalet’s four floors.

What wellness facilities are there?

A dedicated level with an indoor hot tub, hammam, sauna, massage room and gym equipment.

Every stay is concierge-handled. Chef, transfers, wellness, excursions, provisioning — all coordinated through a single specialist.
