— Opposite the Olympe gondola to La Chaudanne, about two minutes on foot from the bottom of the Raffort piste. The free resort bus stops outside; Méribel centre is around six minutes by car.
Location is the reason to choose Cheval Blanc: the Olympe gondola is across the road, the Raffort piste ends about two minutes away, and the free resort bus stops at the boot-room door. Méribel centre is around six minutes by car.
A newer studio wing with two en-suite doubles, a sitting area and a kitchenette gives a second family or a nanny their own space. The bright indoor pool, with floor-to-ceiling windows, and a cinema room are the other highlights.
The kitchen opens directly onto the dining space, where a large table and deep sofas gather around a stone fireplace, with a view through to the pool. A reading nook offers a quieter corner. The indoor pool is bright with full-height glazing, and a cinema room is reached through the studio. Most bathrooms are marble; expect a few small steps and level changes.
The chalet looks onto the gondola rising up the mountain, with the Raffort piste close by. A well-equipped ski room with seating, a luggage lift, and a garage for up to three cars.
Seven bedrooms, each with its own bathroom or shower room, for 12 adults and two children. Five doubles are on the upper two floors; the top-floor room is the largest, and one first-floor double has a mezzanine with three single beds for children only. The lower-floor studio wing has two en-suite doubles, one without a window. Most beds are fixed doubles, worth noting for a mixed adult group.
