Villas Alma is the answer for a group of 22 that wants to stay together without living on top of each other. It is two independent but adjoining oceanfront villas on Cozumel’s west coast, booked as one, with unrestricted access to both houses, both pools, the gardens and a shared wooden deck on the shore.
The first house is Villa Eden: five ocean-view king suites, a 32-foot pool, a handmade hot tub by the palapa, and a rooftop garden for the sunset. The second is Villa Sara: five suites, three with king beds and two with a pair of queens, a 50-foot infinity pool, and kayaks and paddleboards for the coastline. Each house has its own fully equipped kitchen with a Nespresso machine, so two families can run separate breakfasts and one long dinner.
The shared deck is the reason to book here. It sits on the coast with sun loungers and staircases straight into tranquil water over one of Cozumel’s best snorkelling spots, and boat trips and dive tours pick up right at the villa.
Ten bedrooms, every one with its own bathroom, plus a half bath. In Villa Eden all five rooms face the ocean; two open onto the pool and three have balconies. In Villa Sara a ground-floor king opens onto the pool terrace and garden, two rooms have two queens, one of them with an ocean-view balcony, and the master has a bathtub. Air-conditioning, hairdryers, toiletries and Wi-Fi throughout; safes in five of the rooms.
Outside the pools: a barbecue, covered outdoor dining, tropical gardens, parking, and sun loungers on both terraces. Daily housekeeping and pool maintenance are included. A chef, grocery pre-stocking, concierge planning and sports and adventure activities can be arranged at additional cost.
The villas are about a twenty-minute drive south of town, secluded by tropical greenery. Either house can be booked on its own as Villa Eden or Villa Sara; together they are the largest oceanfront booking on this coast. Enquire for availability.
