Chalet Chêne stands in La Mourra, a hamlet about 240 metres from the middle of Val d’Isère. Seven suites, each with its own marble bathroom, sleep sixteen across 550 square metres and three floors served by a lift.
The top floor holds the main living space: a sitting room with a stone fireplace, a dining room, and a fully equipped kitchen opening onto it, with wide windows facing the mountains. Wood covers the walls, floors and ceilings.
The spa is in the basement, with an indoor pool, a hammam, a sauna and a massage room, and a cinema room beside them. A ski room and a garage sit on the same level, and the chalet connects directly from its lower floor into one of the hamlet’s restaurants.
Six of the seven suites take a separable double bed that can be split into two singles, two of them on the ground floor and four on the first. Three of those have a balcony and one has a dressing room. The seventh suite is a family room with a suspended bed, two single beds and one further single.
Chêne is let with staff on a half-board basis. A chef works six hours a day, covering breakfast, tea and either lunch or dinner, with a housekeeper for four hours and a chauffeur for seventeen. There is also a chalet manager, a porter and a valet, and reception and concierge cover around the clock. Food and drink are arranged separately, so the menu is built around the group.
