Backstage Chalet

The chalet’s signature feature is a hydraulic rooftop hot tub: at the touch of a button, the roof structure opens and the hot tub rises above the chalet, revealing views toward the Matterhorn and the surrounding mountains. A private sauna sits alongside it. The chalet has a terrace and balconies, and is around 8 minutes’ walk from Zermatt’s village centre and 5 minutes from the ski lifts. As Zermatt is car-free, guests typically arrive via the shuttle train from Täsch; Geneva airport is around 3 hours away by car.

Five en-suite double bedrooms are arranged across two lower levels. Level 1 holds three double bedrooms, each with a TV and en-suite bathroom (shower, wash basin, WC). Level 2 holds two further double bedrooms: one with a TV and en-suite bathroom, and one with a high-sleeper bed, TV and en-suite bathroom, suitable for an additional guest. The chalet sleeps up to 10 guests across the 5 bedrooms. Confirm the exact bed configuration for each room at enquiry.

Backstage Chalet is traditionally offered fully catered, with a private chef and a dedicated chalet manager/host. The catered service includes a champagne reception on arrival, tea and coffee served each morning, a full breakfast, afternoon tea with cake, champagne and canapés each evening, dinner on six evenings (with the menu discussed on arrival and children’s menus available on request), a complimentary spirits bar, daily housekeeping, evening turndown on six evenings, a mid-week bed linen change, and a shuttle service to and from the train station.
