Kishti Villas (eleven bedrooms) on Meads Bay — beachfront, on the island’s most practical beach, with restaurants within walking distance. The strongest all-round choice at this size.
Altamer Estate (eleven bedrooms) at Shoal Bay West — one of the most recognisable estates in the Caribbean, at the quiet western end of the island.
Le Bleu (eleven bedrooms) at Little Harbour — south coast, elevated, with the view across the channel to St Martin.
Sleeping 18 to 20

Worth noting: Nevaeh and Indigo give you nine and ten bedrooms for twenty guests, which is a far more comfortable ratio than the same number squeezed into seven rooms. For a group of couples, look at the bedroom count before the headline capacity.

The clusters — Anguilla’s real advantage
This is what Anguilla does better than almost anywhere, and it is the answer for groups that do not want one shared roof. Several properties come as sets of villas on the same plot, so three families can be together without sharing a kitchen or arguing about bedtimes.

Bedrooms, not headline capacity
The usual trap. Twenty guests in nine bedrooms and twenty in seven are different holidays at a similar price. Before shortlisting, write the group down as units — how many couples, how many children, who genuinely shares, whether anyone needs a ground-floor room — then filter on bedrooms first and capacity second.
Which beach for a big group
Large groups are usually mixed groups, and that argues for a swimmable beach and restaurants nearby rather than a dramatic cove. Meads Bay does both better than anywhere else on the island; Long Bay and Rendezvous Bay are the calmer alternatives. Twenty people arriving on different flights through St Maarten, crossing an international border by boat, is the part of a large Anguilla booking that needs the most planning — and it is entirely manageable when it is planned.
