Why Verbier is built this way
Verbier is a village on a shelf, with the lift stations at its edges rather than woven through it. The main gondola leaves from Medran at the bottom of the village and Savoleyres from the other side; the terrain everyone comes for sits high above, at Mont-Fort and beyond. There is no meaningful piste running back into the streets, so almost nothing can be ski-in/ski-out by definition of where the village sits.
That is the trade Verbier makes. You get a real village with restaurants, bars and shops you can walk to, and in exchange you walk, shuttle or drive to a lift. Most guests find it a fair swap once they know it is coming.
The two
Chalet Tesseln — five bedrooms, sleeps 12, at Le Rouge. The one genuine ski-in/ski-out chalet of any size in the resort.
Chalet Granval — five bedrooms, sleeps 10, in Verbier Centre, with ski-in/ski-out access and the village on the doorstep, which is an unusual combination here.
Both are five-bedroom properties sleeping ten to twelve. If your group is larger than that, there is no ski-in/ski-out option in Verbier at all, and the honest recommendation is either a walk-to-village chalet or a different resort.
What most groups should actually look at
Twenty-three properties are within walking distance of the village, which in Verbier is the practical equivalent of convenience: you walk to dinner, you walk to the Medran gondola, and the only thing you do not do is click in at your own door. This is where the depth is, and where the better chalets sit.

Close to the slopes
A further twenty-five sit close to the slopes without being on them — typically a few minutes on foot or a very short drive, concentrated around Medran, Savoleyres and the centre. In practice the difference between this group and the walk-to-village group is small, and position within the neighbourhood matters more than the label. Shuttle access
Eight use the free resort shuttle, and this is where the value is — the same chalet in Sonalon costs less than its equivalent in the centre, and the shuttle runs frequently through the day. With a driver or a chef at the chalet, many groups never notice.
