Corales 117, known as Villa Samurai, is the Japanese-themed house among the Puntacana Resort & Club villas. Interiors mix warm wood, bonsai and samurai pieces, and tall glass walls look out on tropical planting. It sleeps up to 12 guests, kids included, in five bedrooms with six bathrooms.
The house wraps around a bamboo courtyard set with reflecting ponds, a quiet space you rarely find in a resort villa. Past it, the pool terrace has shaded lounge areas under mature palms, with a heated jacuzzi, a cold plunge and a BBQ close by.
Service comes built in. The chef cooks breakfast, lunch and dinner plus snacks, the butler runs the house, and maid service is daily; someone from the team is on site 24 hours. Groceries and drinks are charged at cost. Evenings tend to centre on the TV room or the poker and card table.
The layout gives the main couple real privacy: the king master suite occupies the second floor alone, reached by stairs or the elevator, while the four other bedrooms share the first floor.
