00 — Overview

Most villas have a good room and a compromise room. Villa Lorena does not: all four bedrooms face the Pacific and each has its own balcony, which is unusual and is the honest reason to choose it. The building is traditionally Mexican — tile roof, columns and stonework outside; brick-domed ceilings, terracotta floors, ceramic tiled counters and bright textiles within. The living room and kitchen open straight onto a pool terrace with a jacuzzi looking out to sea, with the desert mountainsides rising behind. The casita suite, with its own entrance and kitchenette, gives a family within a larger group somewhere of their own.

Brick-domed ceilings, terracotta floors and ceramic tiled countertops set the tone, with colourful textiles and relaxed furnishing. The living room and kitchen open directly to the terrace. Indoor dining, and a water filtration system in the kitchen.

Four bedrooms sleeping up to ten across 3.5 bathrooms, every bedroom with an ocean view and its own balcony. Primary: king, private bathroom, television. Second: queen plus a twin sofa. Third: two twins that can be made up as a king, television. The second and third share a bathroom between them. Fourth: in a separate casita, queen plus a full sofa, kitchenette, television and private bathroom. Two twin sleepers in the living room complete the ten. The four bedrooms hold eight guests in proper beds; the remainder are sofa beds and living-room sleepers.
