Stela Luxury Home is a seven-bedroom beachfront estate in Aventuras Akumal, a gated bay community just south of Akumal, about 20 minutes north of Tulum. The house is furnished throughout with work by Mexican artisans, in carved stone, local hardwoods and handmade textiles, and sits on a calm bay where sea turtles nest in summer.
It sleeps up to 20 in a main villa of four bedrooms plus three independent garden studio suites, so it can be booked from four to seven bedrooms. Guests have the whole property: a heated beachfront pool with a built-in bar, a rooftop plunge pool, a garden hot tub and an open-air gym. On-site staff provide maid service six days a week, and a cook can be added for an extra fee. Aventuras Akumal is gated and not set up for walking, cycling or golf carts, so a car or private driver is needed to get around.
The great room brings the kitchen, dining and living areas together, facing the sea through floor-to-ceiling glass doors. The kitchen has natural stone counters, custom wood cabinetry and an oversized island with bar seating, and the handcrafted dining table seats ten. There is a Sonos sound system, smart TVs in every bedroom, blackout shades, air conditioning, ceiling fans and Wi-Fi.
The heated beachfront pool has a built-in bar and opens straight onto the sand. Up top, a rooftop terrace with a bar holds a plunge pool with panoramic views, and in the garden there is a hot tub, lounge areas and an open-air gym and yoga space with handcrafted wooden weights. Two single kayaks, a double kayak and two paddleboards are provided, along with beach umbrellas and a charcoal grill for outdoor dining.
