Built in local stone in a blend of Moorish and Mediterranean styles, it stands within a walled tropical garden, private and secure, and Akumal’s restaurants and shops are within walking distance.
The property has a main house, three bedrooms by the pool and a separate two-bedroom guesthouse beside the entrance with its own kitchen: six bedrooms and six and a half bathrooms for up to 13 guests. Maid service is included six days a week (not Sundays), with night security. Smaller groups using three or four bedrooms can ask for a reduced rate.
The main house has a dining room, a full kitchen and a powder room, and the guesthouse has a second full kitchen. Bedrooms have air conditioning, en-suite bathrooms and Sky TV; the living areas are not air-conditioned. A crib and high chair are available, and drinking water is provided.
The pool sits in the walled garden among the poolside bedrooms, with pool chairs, an outdoor BBQ and an outdoor shower. A rooftop terrace looks over the bay, and beach chairs are provided for the sand, about 20 steps from the house. There is a covered garage for three cars.
