00 — Overview

This was the owner’s grandfather’s farm, and the restoration has kept the rough stone walls, old timber and Savoyard detailing while adding 800 m² of modern comfort. Mussillon puts it within walking distance of the centre — about eight minutes — with La Chaudanne roughly three minutes by car.

The appeal for large groups is the separation of spaces: a teenagers’ games room with billiards, pinball and consoles, a playroom for younger children, a tiered cinema, and a spa with an indoor pool, hammam, infrared dome sauna, Jacuzzi and massage room. Worth knowing: the chalet is on the main road into Méribel, and some traffic noise reaches the lower living area.

The main living space

The main living room has an open fire and a bar, beside a separate dining room with a table for 16, a cocktail bar and a seating area opening onto a furnished terrace. A professional kitchen, a wine cellar with its own bar and a small office share the floor. Teenagers get a games room with billiards, table football, pinball, darts, TV and consoles; younger children a playroom with toys and games; and everyone a tiered cinema.

The spa holds an indoor pool, hammam and relaxation area, massage room, infrared dome sauna, Jacuzzi and cardio machines.

Built around the mountain

A furnished terrace and a covered terrace with dining and lounge areas open off the main floor, and several bedrooms have south-west or east-facing balconies. Exterior parking and a large ski room with boot warmers.

The top-floor master has a queen bed, large dressing room, office, sitting area and south-west balcony, plus a single mattress for a child. The west wing has a queen double with a rooftop terrace and a family suite with a two-berth cabin bunk. The east wing has four twin or queen doubles and a second family suite with a sofa bed and terrace. The lift does not reach the east wing, which is up stairs.
