Esencia La Mansion is a four-bedroom beachfront residence in Xpu Ha, on the stretch of Riviera Maya coast between Playa del Carmen and Tulum. The house sits directly on the sand, with the pool terrace opening onto the beach and the Caribbean beyond it.
It shares an owner with Hotel Esencia, a short walk along the beach, and guests of the residence have use of the hotel facilities. The house is run with that same hotel service: a concierge, daily housekeeping, daily breakfast and a butler on the premises around the clock.
The layout runs across four levels. All four bedrooms are ensuite, and each has its own separate entrance while remaining connected from inside, an arrangement that suits a family or a group travelling together who want privacy without splitting up. The master suite holds a light-filled bedroom, a large bathroom with an indoor and outdoor plunge pool, a private fitness studio and a private office.
Three swimming pools sit on different levels of the house, including one on the roof. The main pool is surfaced in ceramic tile designed by the artist Marcel Dzama. The rooftop terrace gives a 360-degree outlook, jungle on one side and open sea on the other.
