Chalet V sits on the Plateau de Villy in La Tzoumaz, on the Savoleyres side of the Verbier – 4 Vallées ski area — over 400 km of pistes, with hiking and biking trails through the summer. The plateau holds a micro-climate with more than 300 sunny days a year, and the chalet looks out across the Rhône valley to the Alps beyond.
Five bedrooms sleep up to twelve. The building is traditionally constructed in old wood and natural stone, with large terraces and balconies across several floors. A lift connects every level, which makes the chalet unusually practical for multi-generational groups or anyone who would rather not carry luggage up three flights.
Skiing is a three-minute drive rather than a ski-out from the door. At the foot of the Savoleyres gondola the chalet has three private indoor parking spaces and its own ski room, so boots can be left to warm overnight and the group goes straight from the car to the lift. From the top, Verbier is a single downhill run away; non-skiers can take the cable car down to Verbier village and meet the others for lunch.
