Chalet Rock sits in a quiet corner of Verbier, three minutes from the ski lifts by chauffeured drive. The trade for that short transfer is seclusion and an uninterrupted outlook towards the Mont Blanc massif, which you get from the outdoor hot tub and from the chalet’s terraces.

The building runs to 350 m² across four floors, designed throughout in a modern contemporary style. Its heating and ventilation run on a wood pellet and solar system, so the chalet stays warm through the winter on a considerably lighter footprint than most properties of its size.

A large open meadow sits directly in front of the chalet — sledging and snow dens for children with energy to burn, and a buffer of space for everyone else. Chalet Rock is offered self-catered, with services available.

01 — Indoor Living

The main living space

The living room is double height, lit through floor-to-ceiling panoramic French windows that open onto the south-facing balcony. It is the centre of the chalet and the room the views are built around.

Downstairs there is a cinema room and a second living room with a TV, games consoles and a pool table — a separate floor for the group to spread onto rather than one room doing every job. Sky TV and an integrated Sonos system run throughout.

02 — Mountain & Wellness

Built around the mountain

The outdoor hot tub looks towards the Mont Blanc massif, as do the chalet’s expansive terraces. The main south-facing balcony runs off the double-height living room and is set up with sun loungers and giant bean bags.

The open meadow in front of the chalet is its least obvious asset: uninterrupted space for sledging and snow dens, and the reason the views stay uninterrupted.

Five bedrooms across four floors, each with its own en-suite bathroom, sleeping up to ten guests. The master has the best of the views and a spacious modern bathroom finished in polished concrete.

With five en-suites for five bedrooms, no one shares facilities at full occupancy, and the spread across four floors gives couples and families a genuine degree of separation.
