Les Brames is where Méribel’s chalets give way to forest, and Domaine de l’Orme makes the most of it: four floors, around 730 m², facing snow-covered woodland rather than a busy street. The trade-off is clear — La Chaudanne and the resort centre are each about five minutes by car, so this is not a ski-to-the-door address.

What it offers instead is space and a private spa. The lowest level holds an indoor pool, a hammam and a massage room, and a hot tub is sunk into the terrace outside. Six bedrooms sleep 12 adults and two children, which suits families and groups who want a calm base after the slopes.

01 — Indoor Living

The main living space

After the ground-level ski room with boot warmers, stairs lead up to a high-ceilinged open living and dining room with full-height glazing and a fireplace. The dining table seats 14, with a bar built into the sideboard, while a separate kitchen has its own six-seat table for informal meals. Off the main room are a games lounge with table football and a library that opens onto a balcony; TV areas sit on the ground floor and on a mezzanine.

The lowest floor is the spa: indoor pool, hammam with shower and a massage room.

A wraparound terrace looks into the woodland, with a sunken hot tub built into it for privacy. Several bedrooms step straight out onto the terrace or onto private balconies. Three outdoor parking spaces.

Six bedrooms, each with a private bathroom. The master takes the top floor, with a wood-burning fireplace, walk-in dressing room, balcony and a bathroom with a roll-top bath and separate shower. A double with its own balcony is on the ground floor. Below are two terrace-access doubles, a twin/double with a dressing area and balcony, and a bunk room for four children or two adults. A separate WC serves two of the lower bedrooms.
