00 — Overview

Casa Papelillo sits at the outer tip of the Punta La Virgen peninsula in Costa Careyes, on the Jalisco coast. The house is arranged around an infinity pool cut into the clifftop, with open-air living space under a palapa and a western outlook that puts the sunset directly in front of the property every evening.

Five rooms sleep twelve. Four are suites, each with its own terrace, ocean view and ensuite bathroom; the fifth is an ensuite library and media room. A chef and household staff are included for the length of the stay, with breakfast, lunch and dinner served daily. Up to two pets, cats or dogs, are welcome.

The villa also has an on-site fitness room, a private hot tub off the largest suite, and a garden.

01 — Indoor Living

Open, layered interiors

The main living areas are open-air beneath a palapa, shaded rather than enclosed, so the sea breeze runs through them. Mexican craftwork and contemporary furniture are used together across the house.

The four suites share the same fit-out: air conditioning and a ceiling fan, a Bose sound system, WiFi, a Smart TV, a minibar, a tea and coffee set, a safe, and yoga mats. The fifth room, Constellations, is a library and media room with its own bathroom and two twin sofa beds, useful as a quiet space away from the pool or as extra sleeping capacity.

A washer, dryer, iron and board are on site, and the house has heating as well as air conditioning.

02 — Outdoor & Pool

The infinity pool runs along the clifftop with the Pacific past its far edge, and is heated. It faces west, which is where late afternoon and sunset are spent.

Off the Sun Master Suite private porch there is a second body of water: a hot tub set to the same view, separate from the pool and reachable without crossing the main deck.

Every bedroom opens onto its own terrace. There is outdoor dining, a garden, and lounge seating under the palapa. Beach picnics, barbecues and bonfire dinners can be arranged on request.

03 — Bedrooms

Five rooms, five ensuite bathrooms, twelve guests.

The Sun Master Suite has a king bed, a private porch with the hot tub, and a bathroom with both a jetted tub and a separate shower. The Star Master Suite has a king bed and a bathroom with a tub. The Moon Suite also has a king bed and a tub. The Eclipse Junior Suite has two queen beds.

The fifth room, Constellations, is the library and media room: two twin sofa beds and an ensuite shower room.

That puts ten guests in a fixed bed. The remaining two sleep on the sofa beds in Constellations, which is worth planning around if everyone in the group needs a proper bed.
