Destination Profile

Punta Mita

Punta Mita occupies a private peninsula at the northern tip of Banderas Bay, on Mexico’s Pacific coast an hour from Puerto Vallarta. It is one of Mexico’s most exclusive addresses — a gated, master-planned resort community wrapped around two Jack Nicklaus signature golf courses, with the Four Seasons and St. Regis anchoring the point. Our villas sit within its residential estates: the beachfront and ocean-view homes of Kupuri, La Punta, Ranchos, Lagos del Mar, Hacienda de Mita, and El Encanto. A Punta Mita villa comes with the resort’s infrastructure around it. Guests have access to private beach clubs, the golf courses — including the famous Tail of the Whale, an optional par-3 island green reached by amphibious cart — the tennis center, and the resort’s restaurants and spa, while keeping the privacy of a staffed private home. The Pacific here is warm and swimmable, with surf breaks off the point, whale watching in winter, and boat trips to the Marietas Islands and their hidden beach. Sayulita and San Pancho, the bohemian surf towns just north, add a contrast to the polish. The villas are built for groups and families who want scale and service — estates with full staff, private chefs, infinity pools, and concierge planning. Many sit directly on the sand or on the bluffs above it, with the golf, beach clubs, and resort amenities a short cart ride away. Because Punta Mita is a controlled-access community reached from Puerto Vallarta’s international airport, it offers a rare combination of resort security and private-home space. The point’s own restaurants and the nearby fishing village of Corral del Risco add casual local dining beyond the resort gates. Share your dates, group size, and whether you want beachfront, golf-community, or bluff-top ocean views, and we’ll send a curated shortlist of Punta Mita villas — every rate, service charge and booking condition itemized in the written quotation.

How many guests does Casa Desiderata sleep?

Casa Desiderata sleeps up to 10 guests across 5 bedrooms, with 5.5 bathrooms. What a group can comfortably use depends on the room-by-room configuration rather than the bedroom count alone, so we confirm the layout against your party before you book.

Where is Casa Desiderata located?

Casa Desiderata is in Lagos del Mar, Punta Mita. We can confirm drive times from the airport and what is within reach on foot before you commit to the location.

How close is Casa Desiderata to the beach?

Casa Desiderata is not on the water itself, but the beach is within walking distance. We will tell you which beach and roughly how long the walk takes before you book.

Can we have a private chef at Casa Desiderata?

Yes, a private chef can be arranged at Casa Desiderata. Chef service is booked on request and quoted separately from the villa rate, so it is never assumed to be included.

Who is Casa Desiderata best suited to?

Casa Desiderata works particularly well for families with children. Tell us how your group is made up and we will say plainly whether this villa fits, or point you to one that does.

How much does Casa Desiderata cost, and how do we book?

Rates are quoted per stay rather than published as a single number, because they move with the season, the length of stay and the size of the group, and taxes and fees vary by destination. Send your dates and we confirm availability and the rate with the owner before anything is charged.

Every stay is concierge-handled. Chef, transfers, wellness, excursions, provisioning — all coordinated through a single specialist.
