Rum Point & Cayman Kai — the quiet north side

South Sound runs along the coast just east of George Town. It’s a quiet, largely residential stretch that keeps you minutes from town and the airport while sidestepping the Seven Mile crowds. The shoreline is reef-protected, and there’s genuine oceanfront villa inventory here.
The thing to set expectations on: South Sound isn’t a continuous soft-sand swim beach the way Seven Mile is.
