It began as a family home in classic Balinese compound style and was later reworked by architects into a blend of traditional and contemporary.
The compound plan suits a group that wants space: a master bedroom with jacuzzi, plunge pool and private courtyard garden; two guest suites reached across a lotus pond; and two linked rooms in a double-storey wing for families. Five bedrooms sleep twelve.
