Villa Mareas has eight bathrooms across five bedrooms and a wellness fit-out that would not embarrass a small resort: a private spa with a steam room, cold plunge, jacuzzi and red light therapy, plus a genuine home gym with cardio machines, a yoga space and a strength zone carrying Olympic free weights and a Smith machine. Entertainment runs to a 100-inch cinema screen and a green onyx bar with a large sports television. Fourteen guests. The house is oceanfront in Cabo Bello with floor-to-ceiling glass opening onto a vast ledge pool, an outdoor kitchen and a bar, and a two-storey water wall inside. Nearby beaches here are swimmable and there is snorkelling close by, which is not true of every stretch of this coast.

Five suites sleeping fourteen across eight bathrooms. Every bedroom has a king bed, zoned air conditioning and its own view terrace. The primary carries an ocean view, terrace and shower ensuite. A second is a casita with a king, ocean view and terrace. One suite adds two king beds plus twin bunks, which is what takes the house to fourteen and makes it work for a family rather than five couples.
