Santa Barbara street, the usual walking route to Los Muertos beach and the Romantic Zone, is currently closed for repairs; until it reopens, the walk to town and Los Muertos is along the highway sidewalk.
Through massive carved doors, Villa Las Puertas opens into an enchanting walled estate set above the Pacific in Lower Conchas Chinas, a short walk from the beaches and from town. The design is traditional Mexican architecture with Moroccan details and a bohemian charm, with spectacular ocean views from most rooms. The property is filled with tropical flowers, hidden courtyards and fountains.
There are about 10,700 square feet of indoor and outdoor living, with spacious terraces and open-air living areas. A heated pool sits in a garden courtyard, and an eight-person jacuzzi looks out over the ocean. The villa has been renovated and has seven bedrooms across several levels.
A cook (two meals a day), a houseman who serves meals and makes drinks, and a housekeeper are on staff daily except Sundays and some national holidays. Food and drinks are not included.
Open-air living areas and spacious terraces, most with ocean views, in a traditional Mexican house with Moroccan details. Smart TVs in the living room and several bedrooms, a sound system with speakers in the common areas and at the pool, Wi-Fi, free local and long-distance calls, and water filtration throughout.
