Villa Des Indes I is a heritage estate in Seminyak’s Laksmana Villas enclave, built around an antique teakwood joglo and filled with antiques and artifacts. Petitenget Beach is about a five-minute walk, with Ku De Ta and La Lucciola nearby.
The layout is a set of pavilions in tropical gardens: two master-bedroom bungalows facing the pool, each with a four-poster king bed, a den and library and a full-width veranda; a two-storey guest building with a four-poster bed downstairs and single beds upstairs; and a pavilion holding the guest bar, cloakroom and kitchen. A fan-cooled living and dining area, an air-conditioned den and a butler’s pantry serve the house, and a 21-metre lagoon-style pool with two balés anchors the garden. Four bedrooms sleep eight.
