Villa Amada is in Porta Fortuna, one of the gated residential enclaves inside Punta Mita, and overlooks the fairways of the Jack Nicklaus golf course. The house is contemporary, built over two stories with premium finishes and generous indoor and outdoor living spaces.

Outside, the terrace has a private plunge pool, a jacuzzi, outdoor dining, lounge seating and a built-in grill, which is where most evenings end up. The manager presents it for families and groups who want a relaxed base inside the resort, with the terrace, the plunge pool and the jacuzzi as the center of the day and the golf course stretching out below.

A cook prepares breakfast and lunch, with snack preparation, and daily housekeeping is included. A six-passenger golf cart is handed over at check-in, and the stay includes a Premier Golf Membership, which gives access to Punta Mita’s courses and clubs under the resort’s rules. Dinners are not part of the cook’s schedule, so plan on cooking, booking a chef or eating at the resort’s restaurants.

The villa is not on the beach. Its views are over the golf course, and beach days are spent at Punta Mita’s beach clubs.

Two discrepancies to clear before booking. Listings disagree on the number of bedrooms, with the manager showing five and other agencies four, and on bathrooms, five or five and a half. Published capacity also ranges from 10 to 12 guests.
