Destination Profile

Maui

Maui is Hawaii’s balance of polish and nature — the Valley Isle, with resort coasts, a soaring volcano, and some of the state’s finest beaches. Our villas concentrate on its sunny leeward side: the manicured resort community of Wailea in the south, with its golden crescent beaches, golf, and beach clubs, and the Kapalua and Kaanapali areas on the west, where the coast looks across to the islands of Lanai and Molokai. Most are indoor-outdoor homes with private pools, set close to the beach and the resort amenities of these established communities. Maui’s draw is its variety. Haleakala, the 3,000-meter volcano at its heart, offers famous sunrises above the clouds; the winding Road to Hana threads waterfalls and rainforest along the northeast coast; and the channel between Maui, Lanai, and Molokai is one of the world’s best places to watch humpback whales in winter. Snorkeling the Molokini crater, sunset sails, and the beaches of Wailea and Kapalua fill the days. The villas suit families and couples who want resort-coast comfort with the island’s nature close at hand — homes with concierge planning, in Wailea or the west-side communities. Maui’s Kahului Airport has direct flights from across the US mainland. The upcountry farms, lavender gardens, and cool air of Kula offer a contrast to the coast; the green spire of Iao Valley rises from the island’s center; and snorkel tours, sunset sails, and luaus fill the evenings. Because the resort communities of Wailea, Kapalua, and Kaanapali are self-contained and well served, they make a comfortable base for families exploring the island. Share your dates, group size, and whether you want Wailea’s south-shore beaches or the Kapalua and Kaanapali coast, and we’ll send a curated shortlist of Maui villas, with every rate, service charge and booking condition itemized in the written quotation.

How many guests does Makena Aloha sleep?

Makena Aloha sleeps up to 10 guests across 4 bedrooms, with 4 bathrooms. What a group can comfortably use depends on the room-by-room configuration rather than the bedroom count alone, so we confirm the layout against your party before you book.

Where is Makena Aloha located?

Makena Aloha is in Mākena, Maui. We can confirm drive times from the airport and what is within reach on foot before you commit to the location.

How close is Makena Aloha to the beach?

Makena Aloha has the water in view from the property, but it is not on the beach — a road or another property sits in between. If feet-in-the-sand access matters to your group, tell us and we will point you to the beachfront properties instead.

How much does Makena Aloha cost, and how do we book?

Rates are quoted per stay rather than published as a single number, because they move with the season, the length of stay and the size of the group, and taxes and fees vary by destination. Send your dates and we confirm availability and the rate with the owner before anything is charged.
