Destination Profile

St Martin

St Martin (Saint-Martin) is the French half of a single small island shared with Dutch Sint Maarten, often spelled St Maarten — and it brings the French Caribbean’s food, style, and beaches to a place you can drive across in under an hour. Our villas concentrate on the island’s most exclusive corner, the Terres Basses peninsula, with its calm bays of Baie Longue, Baie aux Prunes, and Baie Rouge, and along the beaches of Orient Bay and around the gourmet village of Grand Case. Most are hillside or beachfront estates with pools and wide sea views, some looking across to Anguilla. St Martin’s calling card is its cuisine. Grand Case is known as the culinary capital of the Caribbean, its main street lined with French bistros and open-air lolos grilling the day’s catch. Orient Bay brings a long, lively beach with clubs and water sports; Terres Basses offers quiet, upscale calm; and the Dutch side, minutes away, adds casinos, nightlife, and the famous plane-spotting beach at Maho. Boat trips reach the uninhabited islets of Tintamarre and Pinel, and Anguilla and St Barts are both a short ferry away. The villas suit families, groups, and couples who want French-Caribbean flavor with the flexibility of two cultures on one island — with a private chef available on request at every villa and concierge planning. Princess Juliana International Airport, on the Dutch side, is one of the region’s best-connected hubs and a short transfer from the French villas. For Dutch-side villas in Cupecoy, Indigo Bay and Simpson Bay, see our St Maarten page. The island’s duty-free shopping, its calendar of regattas and food festivals, and easy island-hopping to Anguilla and St Barts round out a stay. Share your dates, group size, and whether you want the calm of Terres Basses, beachfront Orient Bay, or Grand Case dining on your doorstep, and we’ll send a curated shortlist of St Martin villas, with every rate, service charge and booking condition itemized in the written quotation.

How many guests does Le Caprice Villa sleep?

Le Caprice Villa sleeps up to 14 guests across 7 bedrooms, with 7.5 bathrooms. What a group can comfortably use depends on the room-by-room configuration rather than the bedroom count alone, so we confirm the layout against your party before you book.

Where is Le Caprice Villa located?

Le Caprice Villa is in Terres Basses, St Martin. We can confirm drive times from the airport and what is within reach on foot before you commit to the location.

How close is Le Caprice Villa to the beach?

Le Caprice Villa has the water in view from the property, but it is not on the beach — a road or another property sits in between. If feet-in-the-sand access matters to your group, tell us and we will point you to the beachfront properties instead.

Can we have a private chef at Le Caprice Villa?

Yes, a private chef can be arranged at Le Caprice Villa. Chef service is booked on request and quoted separately from the villa rate, so it is never assumed to be included.

Who is Le Caprice Villa best suited to?

Le Caprice Villa works particularly well for families with children and large groups traveling together. Tell us how your group is made up and we will say plainly whether this villa fits, or point you to one that does.

How much does Le Caprice Villa cost, and how do we book?

Rates are quoted per stay rather than published as a single number, because they move with the season, the length of stay and the size of the group, and taxes and fees vary by destination. Send your dates and we confirm availability and the rate with the owner before anything is charged.

Every stay is concierge-handled. Chef, transfers, wellness, excursions, provisioning — all coordinated through a single specialist.
