La Casa Bendecida, the blessed house, is a four-bedroom villa in Pedregal built around Mexican craft rather than contemporary minimalism: Talavera tile, Palo de Arco wood, brick-arched ceilings, folk art and a collection of original pieces, with each bedroom themed around a different part of Mexican culture and landscape. Eight guests. The open plan links living room, kitchen and dining and opens onto terraces with hillside views and glimpses of both the Sea of Cortez and the Pacific. A heated pool and hot tub sit on the main deck, west-facing for sunset. One thing to know: there are 3.5 bathrooms across four bedrooms, and the two lower-level suites share one between them.

Four king bedrooms sleeping eight across 3.5 bathrooms, each themed around Mexican art and landscape. The Milagro primary has an ocean view, a private bathroom with double vanities and its own terrace. The Frida suite has a private bathroom with a hand-painted sink. The two lower-level suites, Del Mar and Baja, each have a separate entrance and terrace but share a bathroom between them, with Baja adding an outdoor shower. Allocate those two to people who do not mind sharing.
