This is a 3,600-square-foot penthouse at Hacienda de Mita, inside the gated Punta Mita resort, with four bedrooms for up to eight guests. Its orientation is the reason to choose it: every window looks out, with an unobstructed 180-degree view across the ocean rather than onto a neighbouring building.

The living area runs under high beamed ceilings with large sliding glass doors that open it to the terrace, a dining table seating eight, and a remote-controlled sunscreen for the morning light. The kitchen is built for someone who actually cooks: a commercial Wolf range, granite countertops, full-size refrigerator and freezer, dishwasher and filtered water from both the faucet and the fridge.

The owner describes the layout as three bedrooms plus a bunk and utility room. The fourth room is exactly that, and the owner is direct about it: it has limited privacy during the day and is not ideal for adults. It works for children.

Daily housekeeping is included except on Sundays and holidays, and the housekeeper will prepare breakfast and lunch on request. A six-person golf cart comes with the rental, along with a local landline, upgraded Wi-Fi with a hotspot in every bedroom, satellite and internet television, Chromecast and Apple TV, a Sonos system in the living area and primary bedroom, spa bathrobes, a high-efficiency washer and dryer, and two covered parking spaces.

The kitchen has a commercial Wolf range, granite countertops, refrigerator and freezer, dishwasher and microwave, and filtered water from both the kitchen faucet and the refrigerator.

A Sonos system covers the living area and the primary bedroom. Satellite and internet television, Chromecast and Apple TV, and upgraded wireless internet with a hotspot installed in each bedroom. There is a high-efficiency washer and dryer in the condo, spa bathrobes, and a local landline.
