— A quiet northern stretch favoring calm water and a slower pace over shops and nightlife, closer to snorkeling and boat departures than to the island’s restaurant scene. Groups wanting an evening strip within walking distance should choose differently; groups wanting a private pool and quiet water will find it suits.
This is a deliberately small house in an area full of large ones, and that is the point. Four en-suite bedrooms for ten guests means two or three couples, or one family, with no morning bathroom queue and no need to coordinate anybody’s day. It does not try to be an estate.
The property sits slightly above the water, so the shoreline is reached by a short flight of steps rather than a level walk — worth knowing up front if anyone in the group would rather avoid them. In exchange you get elevation over the water, a private pool off the main living space, a palapa-roofed outdoor kitchen that becomes where everyone actually spends the evening, and an outdoor shower. Limestone runs from indoors straight out onto the deck without a threshold.
One open room joins kitchen, dining and lounge, finished in limestone that continues outside without a threshold, so the inside and the deck read as one space. The four bedrooms sit off this central room, each en-suite, which removes the usual morning shuffle. Air conditioning and connectivity cover the house.
The private pool is the center of the outdoor space, with the palapa-roofed kitchen and dining area beside it — shade that is built rather than improvised, and where most groups end up spending their evenings. There is an outdoor shower for the walk back up from the water, and the elevated deck looks over the sea rather than sitting level with it.
All four bedrooms are en-suite, which keeps a group of ten straightforward. Layouts are unfussy rather than elaborate — this is a comfortable house rather than a showcase, though the rooms do face the water. No single suite dominates the others, which avoids the usual argument.

No — there is a short flight of steps down to the water because the house sits above the shoreline. If step-free access matters, ask us and we will point you to a ground-level property instead.
Gypsy works particularly well for families with children and large groups traveling together. Tell us how your group is made up and we will say plainly whether this villa fits, or point you to one that does.
Rates are quoted per stay rather than published as a single number, because they move with the season, the length of stay and the size of the group, and taxes and fees vary by destination. Send your dates and we confirm availability and the rate with the owner before anything is charged.
Yes, and most groups do. There is a palapa-covered outdoor kitchen for grilling alongside the indoor kitchen, which matters given the distance to restaurants.
Snorkeling spots and boat departures rather than shops and dining. Plan a drive for an evening out.
