El Canto sits in La Veleta, a residential part of Tulum surrounded by jungle, a few minutes from the town’s restaurants and cenotes. It is not a beach house: the beaches and the hotel zone are roughly a 15-minute drive away. What it offers instead is space and privacy for a big group.
The villa is two connecting houses, the Casa and the Casita, with seven bedrooms between them. That split is useful for two families or a group with a few couples who want some separation at night. Bed types include a super king, queens and doubles; the owner does not publish a room-by-room plan, so we check which room has which bed before you assign rooms.
Outside there are four pools, two of them at ground level, plus two rooftop terraces with sun loungers, a bar and outdoor seating, and long tables for group dinners. With two fully equipped kitchens, cooking for 16 is practical, and the owner describes pool-side brunches as part of how the house is used.
A concierge handles the stay from booking to checkout and a house manager is on site. A private chef is available on request and is charged only for the meals you book, and the concierge can arrange drivers.
Things to weigh: the house is on two levels with stairs up to the rooftops, and because it is two buildings, a group that wants everyone under one roof should know the layout before booking. Plan on a car or a driver, since the beach is not walkable from La Veleta.
