00 — Overview

Chalet Les Anges is a free-standing chalet in a secure, private location in Petit Village, one of Zermatt’s most sought-after areas. Its 700 m² of living space is laid out over three floors, with views across the town to the Matterhorn from the living room and most of the bedrooms. Elysian Collection, which runs the chalet, states it has been named Best Ski Chalet in the World.

It is about a 10-minute walk to the centre of Zermatt, or about 5 minutes by electric taxi to the centre and the Sunnegga lift. The chalet is fully staffed and catered by Elysian Collection’s own team.

01 — Indoor Living

The main living space

The top floor holds the main living space under a timber roof: a large living room with an open fireplace and a grand piano, a dining area, the kitchen and a separate TV lounge with a large screen, Sky channels, Apple TV and a Wii. A Sonos sound system runs through the living and dining areas, and an internal lift connects every floor.

The lowest floor is a wellness level: a natural-stone relaxation area around a Japanese garden, a massage room, a hammam/steam room, a sauna, a shower and a separate WC, with doors straight out to the terrace and a 3 m² power-jet plunge pool. There is also a ski room with heated boot racks.

Eros: king-size bed, bath open-plan to the bedroom and a separate massage/rain shower, private balcony with Matterhorn view, bio-fuel fireplace.
Seraphim: twin or super-king bed, rain shower, two private balconies with Matterhorn views.
Cherubim: twin or super-king bed, bath and shower, private balcony with Matterhorn view.
Putti: king-size bed, rain shower.
Sylph: twin or super-king bed, bath and shower, glass doors onto the terrace and plunge pool, view across Zermatt.
Elohim: king-size bed, shower, glass doors onto the terrace and plunge pool, view across Zermatt to the Matterhorn.

Good to know: Archangel, Eros, Seraphim, Cherubim and Putti are on the middle floor; Sylph and Elohim are on the lower wellness floor beside the spa, and the living floor is at the top, linked by the lift. Eros has its bath open to the bedroom. Putti has no balcony and no Matterhorn view listed.

The chalet is catered by a dedicated Elysian Collection team: personal concierge, chalet manager, chef, hosts and housekeeping, with cleaning twice a day. Their catered service includes tea in bed, breakfast and afternoon tea every day, dinners prepared by the chef six nights a week, Perrier-Jouët Champagne, selected house wines, an open spirit bar, beers and soft drinks, and fresh flowers.
