00 — Overview

Chalet Ciuk is a 320 square metre chalet in the Stelvio hamlet, close to the centre of Courchevel Village and a short distance from the pistes. Five en-suite double bedrooms sleep ten adults.

The wellness floor is what separates it from most chalets of this size in 1550: a 5.8 by 2.8 metre indoor pool, a sauna, a massage room and a shower, all below ground level and usable whatever the weather.

Every bed is 180×200 and separates into twins, so the same house works for five couples or for a mixed group that needs singles. That flexibility is unusual at five bedrooms and worth raising with any group that is still deciding who is sharing.

The chalet is arranged vertically over five levels, with the living floor above three of the bedrooms and the master above that. Groups with anyone who would rather avoid stairs should ask before booking.

The main living space

The second floor holds the living space: a living room with a wood-burning fireplace and television, a dining area, and an open-plan kitchen with a bar, all opening onto a large balcony.

Below ground is the wellness floor – an indoor pool measuring 5.8 by 2.8 metres, a sauna, a massage room and a shower, with the laundry and a separate WC alongside.

Entrance level holds the ski room with a boot dryer, the garage, and one of the five bedrooms.

02 — Mountain & Wellness

Built around the mountain

The main balcony runs off the living floor and is set with an outdoor table and chairs, facing the mountains.

Four of the five bedrooms have balconies of their own – the three on the first floor and the master on the top floor.

Firewood for the fireplace is provided in winter.

Five en-suite double bedrooms, spread across three floors. Every bed is 180×200 and separable into twin beds on request, and every room has a television and a wardrobe.

Entrance level: one double, en-suite shower room with a single basin and WC.

First floor: three doubles, each with a balcony. One has a bathroom with both a bathtub and a shower, double basins and a separate WC; the other two have shower rooms with double basins and separate WCs.

Third floor: the master, with a balcony and an en-suite bathroom with a bathtub and a shower, double basins and a separate WC.

Five bedrooms, five bathrooms, ten adults: two per room throughout.

Is breakfast actually included?

In winter the breakfast service is included, along with daily cleaning for six hours - but the food and drink themselves are charged separately. In summer neither the breakfast service nor the daily cleaning is included. Worth settling before booking, because the two seasons are materially different stays.

Yes, all five. Every bed is a 180x200 double that separates into twin beds on request, so the chalet works equally for five couples or for a group that needs singles.

What are the wellness facilities?

An indoor swimming pool measuring 5.8 by 2.8 metres, a sauna, a massage room and a shower, all on the floor below ground level. There is no outdoor hot tub.

Are there any restrictions?

Pets are not permitted and the chalet is non-smoking. A security deposit of 10,000 euros is held but not cashed. A baby cot and high chair are available on request rather than provided as standard.
