Saariselkä is a compact fell village in northern Finnish Lapland, set beside Urho Kekkonen National Park, one of the largest national parks in Finland. It is a place for wilderness more than nightlife: cross-country and fat-bike trails leave from the village, Kaunispää fell rises above it, and the skies to the north are wide and dark.
Our Saariselkä villas are log villas built for groups, with en-suite bedrooms, private saunas and outdoor jacuzzis, and they come fully staffed. One sits on top of Kaunispää fell, and another is about 200 meters from the ski track.
Ivalo Airport, Finland's northernmost airport, is about 25 minutes away by car, with flights from Helsinki. Aurora season runs from late August to early April, and Lake Inari and the Sámi culture center Siida in Inari village are within a day's reach.
