Fully staffed villas on and near Rukatunturi fell, with saunas, outdoor jacuzzis and the wilderness of Oulanka National Park on the doorstep.
Ruka is the ski resort on Rukatunturi fell in Kuusamo, northeastern Finland, just south of the Arctic Circle and close to the Russian border. It is not officially part of Lapland, but it shares the same snow, fells and forest, and it is known for a long ski season. The resort village sits at the foot of the fell, and the wider Ruka-Kuusamo area is known for its national parks.
Oulanka National Park, with its river canyons, rapids and suspension bridges, lies to the north. The Karhunkierros, Finland's most famous hiking trail, runs about 82 kilometers through it and ends at Ruka.
Our Ruka villas are large private homes with saunas, outdoor jacuzzis and room for groups, and they come fully staffed. One sits on Rukatunturi itself, and another is about a kilometer from the village and its lifts.
