What distinguishes Long Bay is simply distance from the center of activity: it picks up toward the quieter end of that shoreline, away from the cluster of restaurants and resorts concentrated around Meads Bay proper, while still delivering the same fine white coral sand and calm, clear turquoise water that made this coast Anguilla’s most photographed. A handful of large villa estates occupy this stretch, taking advantage of wider lot sizes than are available closer to Meads Bay’s built-up center, with several beachfront properties enjoying private frontage that would be hard to find on the busier section of sand nearby. The sand itself stays soft and fine along the full length of the beach, without the rockier interruptions found on some of Anguilla’s other coves, which makes for easy barefoot walking end to end.
