Area Context
Courchevel 1850 occupies the top of the Courchevel valley, the highest and most prestigious of the resort's four linked villages, with true ski-in/ski-out access onto the Bellecôte and Jardin Alpin pistes of the Three Valleys. Chalets here are the largest and most fully staffed in the collection — five- to twelve-bedroom timber-and-stone estates with spas, indoor pools, and cinema rooms. The village centre carries the resort's highest concentration of Michelin-starred restaurants and designer boutiques, with its own altiport for private aircraft.
Courchevel 1850 is the most prestigious ski address in the world. It sits at the top of the Courchevel valley — the highest and grandest of the four villages — and it carries more Michelin stars, more five-star hotels, and more serious money per square metre than any resort in the Alps. Our chalets here are the finest we offer anywhere: vast timber-and-stone estates with spas, indoor pools, cinema rooms, and full staff, many with genuine ski-in/ski-out access onto the pistes of the Three Valleys, the largest linked ski area on earth. What sets 1850 apart is the combination of scale and standard. The skiing is immediate — the Bellecôte and Jardin Alpin sectors run straight past the doors of the best chalets, and from here the whole Three Valleys opens up on a single pass: some 600 kilometres of linked pistes across Courchevel, Méribel, and Val Thorens, enough to ski somewhere different every day for a week without repeating yourself. Off the mountain, the village has its own altiport for private aircraft, a main street of Hermès, Dior, and Chanel, and one of the most decorated restaurant scenes in France. It is not a place that pretends to be humble, and its guests do not want it to be. The chalets suit large families, groups of friends, and celebrations where the house itself is part of the occasion — five- to twelve-bedroom estates with private chefs, chalet hosts, drivers, wellness areas, and concierge planning. Several offer true ski-in/ski-out, which we confirm chalet by chalet rather than let you assume, because in the Alps that claim is stretched more often than it is met. Geneva International Airport is around two and a half hours by road, with helicopter transfers available directly to the altiport. Share your dates, group size, and whether you want ski-in/ski-out on the Bellecôte piste, a chalet in the exclusive Jardin Alpin, or a home close to the village centre and its restaurants, and we’ll send a curated shortlist of Courchevel 1850 chalets — booked direct, with no platform fees.
The other Courchevel villages offer a different balance: Moriond (1650) is sunnier and more family-oriented, Village (1550) quieter with quick access to the main ski area, and Le Praz (1300) the original Savoyard village and the best value in the resort.
