Villa Buena Vida is a six-bedroom, seven-bathroom house in Cabo del Sol built in the traditional idiom, arches, local stone, decorative ironwork and balconies, rather than the contemporary white-box style. It sleeps ten, and the fifth bedroom explains why the count is lower than the bedroom number suggests: it holds three bunk sets, six twin beds in total, with its own bathroom, and is unmistakably a children’s room. The sixth is a separate casita with a queen, an ensuite and a kitchenette, which gives one couple or a grandparent independence. Outside, an infinity-edge pool overlooks the Sea of Cortez with a palapa-shaded swim-up bar and an eight-person jacuzzi. In-villa chef service is available on request.
